Tenderheartedness
What does it mean to be tenderhearted towards one another?
I was reading again on the subject of forgiveness and the thought of tenderheartedness came to mind.
Scripture calls us to forgive, but ALSO to be tenderhearted and Kind to one another. (Ephesians 4:32.)

As we seek to love another in Christ, these things will come out.
Our hearts can grow from cold or indifferent to tender and kind.
If we have been hurt by a brother or sister, we know to forgive, but as we do, and continue to walk in it, trusting the Lord who has forgiven us so much, we cannot help but feel for another, loving them, treating them how we would want to be treated.
Sometimes to my shame I find myself feeling angry about being sinned against and the pain is there all over again.
In practicing what scripture teaches, those hurts can be put away for a much, better way. Laying aside my "right" to be offended for a much higher purpose and calling, brings me to Living,Refreshing waters that overflow in my heart.
Leave the waters of bitterness behind, come and walk in newness of Life, partake of the Gifts that God freely gives, be refreshed, and Live tenderhearted lives . ❤️
I was reminded in 1 Corinthians that we could give all to the poor and even lay our very lives down and yet not have love in our hearts. The famous 1 Corinthians passage in chapter 13 that goes on to describe love: 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[b] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8a Love never ends.
This is what love is. This is what love looks like. And where I am lacking, HE can fill. In fact, Jesus DOES and WILL fill us with His Spirit so we can walk in it, and LOVE. And along with that love comes true tenderheartedness towards each other.
